ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE
Armscor will be awarding bursaries for studies within the Engineering and Science sector, particularly the following fields:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Applied Mathematics
- Biochemistry
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (Light current)
- Ergonomics Science
- Human Kinetics
- Industrial Engineering
- Information Technology
- Marine Engineering
- Material Sciences
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Metallurgy Engineering
- Naval Engineering
- Physics
The bursary will provide cover the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed books, accommodation, meals and vacation work if and when possible.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS for Armscor Bursary South Africa 2021
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Strong academic record
- Interested in working within the defence industry
- Achieved a minimum of levels 5, 6, and 7 in Mathematics, Physical Science and English in Matric
- Studying or intend on studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Studying or intend on studying at a recognised tertiary institute within South Africa
- From a previously disadvantaged background
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE Armscor Bursary South Africa 2021
Download and complete the Armscor-Bursary-Application-Form
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric mid-year results, if currently in Matric (certified copy)
- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
- Full academic record, if currently at tertiary level (certified copy)
- Parents/ guardians ID documents (certified copies)
- Parents/ guardians proof of income (latest payslips or employment letter if employed/ affidavit if unemployed/ proof of SASSA grant if applicable/ death certificate if deceased)
- University registration/ acceptance letter (on letterhead)
- Fees statement, if currently at tertiary level (on letterhead)
- Covering letter (must state your field of study and what motivated you to choose to study in your field)
