Requirements :

  • A National Diploma at NQF Level 6 or Degree at NQF Level 7 in Human Resources Management or related, as recognised by SAQA. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Recruitment and Appointment environment. A valid driver’s license.
    COMPETENCIES: Knowledge – Knowledge of Public Service Regulatory Framework, namely Public Service Act of 1994 and Regulations of 2016 and the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Understanding of departmental legislation/policies, as well as Human Resources legislation and prescripts. Understanding of Competency-based Recruitment and Selection. Knowledge of HR Administration, Skills Development Legislation and Public Service Regulatory frameworks, Labour Relations Legislation, Employment Practices and Contracts, Recruitment and Selection Practices, Processes and Procedures. Knowledge of PERSAL. Skills – Computer Skills. Writing Skills. Communication Skills. Telephone Etiquette. Attributes – Teamwork. Decisive. Customer focused. Proactive and resourceful. Flexible/ chance orientated. Cost conscious. Quality orientated. Responsive. Credible. Problem solving ability.

Duties :

  • Receive advert requisition forms and ensure that all posts advertised are vacant and funded and all advertisement deadlines are met. Draft and place adverts in newspapers and public service vacancy circular (DPSA). Quality check the content of the adverts, Maintain the database of all advertised posts, Liaise with external service providers for the publishing of adverts. Provide secretarial and advisory services during short listings and Interviews. Provide advice to staff on Recruitment & Selection and appointment matters. Draft appointment letters and submissions. Render safe keeping of staff requisitions forms and motivations. Administer acting appointments. Administer transfers, movements and secondments. Management of recruitment databases. Providing information relating to audit queries. Liaise with stakeholders and service providers on recruitment and selection functions.
