Requirements :

  • A National Diploma (NQF 6) / Degree (NQF 7) or equivalent qualification in Financial Management/Accounting/Cost and Management Accounting/SCM/Public Finance or related filed as recognised by SAQA. A minimum of 1 year experience in goods and services. A valid driver’s license.

In depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations’ Financial Delegations and Risk Management. Accounting Standards. SKILLS- Communication. Computer literacy. Analytical. Duties :

  • Follow up on outstanding orders (assets). Attend to correspondence and queries from asset controller. Capture balance adjustments for surplus and shortages. Receive assets on the electronic asset management system, checking quantity, quality, and correctness of assets on delivery. Create and maintain custodian of inventory. Book in and out of assets for repair. Identify assets for disposal and compilation of a report thereof. Process journals and compile monthly reports for both internal and external stakeholders. For GG and subsidized vehicles, maintain files with supporting documentation including minutes of meetings and other records pertaining to the vehicles. Facilitate physical movement of assets and updating movements on the system. Ensure issuing, signing and displaying of the updated inventory control sheet. Verify receipt for correctness and printing of the updated inventory control sheet. Update the Movable Assets Register in accordance with Treasury guidelines. Maintain files with supporting documentation for newly acquired and disposed assets. Conduct annual asset verification. Quarterly spot checks of assets. Barcoding of assets. Render maintenance of assets.
